Troubleshoot server access

Resolve an SFTP, RCON or companion problem and get back to your task.

Before you start
  • A PimpMyRust account and a server you are authorized to manage.
  • Get the required credentials from your host. Verify SFTP, RCON and the companion separately.

Follow the steps

  1. SFTP: check the host, port, account permissions and Rust folder. Compare the fingerprint with your host’s fingerprint.
  2. RCON: check WebRCON, its port, password and your host’s network restrictions.
  3. File conflict: read the current file and compare it with your copy. Uncertain result: check state and receipt before repeating.
  4. Map or routine: check the last response in PimpMyRust companion connection. Statistics: check the separate PmrAnalytics collector and its report date.
