FAQ

Before you start

Answers about accounts, versions, and your files.

Where should I start?

To edit a plugin’s settings, choose a configurator. To create an interface or edit a CUI, open the editor from the main navigation. The catalogue separately presents our plugins and their availability on Codefling.

Do I need an account?

Not for PimpMyCUI Editor or free configurators. Configuring a paid PimpMyRust plugin requires sign-in. Downloading a paid beta also requires a linked Codefling account and verified purchase.

What is free?

CUI Editor, third-party plugin configurators, and file exports are free. The site does not sell plugins: purchases of published PimpMyRust plugins stay on Codefling. Creating an account does not replace buying a plugin.

Which version should I choose: Codefling version or beta?

The Codefling version is the plugin’s published release. Beta is a newer version offered for testing and may use a different configuration. Always choose the version installed on your server. The site does not automatically convert an older file to beta.

How do I resume an existing configuration?

Select the right plugin and version, then import its JSON or paste the contents. Edit the settings and download the result. Properties not shown by the form are preserved; fix validation errors before exporting.

Are my files saved on the site?

No. Editors can keep a draft in this browser, but it does not follow your account and can be removed when browser data is cleared. Export your files to keep a copy and import them on another device. Plugin configurations are not saved on the server.

Which CUI Editor export should I choose?

Project JSON lets you resume editing. The package is intended for the PimpMyCUI plugin installed on the server. If you edit another plugin’s CUI, apply it back to its configurator, then export its complete configuration. See the editor guide.

Can the site install files on my server?

No. Server connections and SFTP/RCON deployment are disabled in this site release. Download the files and install them manually, keeping a copy of your previous configuration.

Are ItemCreator and Puzzle Studio available?

Not yet. Their product pages describe coming products, but their editors and downloads remain closed. PimpMyCUI Editor is available now, without an account.

Where can I get help?

Read the documentation for the same version as your plugin, or ask the Plug and Socket assistant to explain documented settings. Do not send it passwords or API keys.
