/// SUPPORTED THIRD-PARTY PLUGIN
TruePVE
Free guide for configuring this third-party plugin in the Hub. To install it, use its plugin page or official source.
Prepare your file
- Check the installed version
This guide describes TruePVE 2.4.6. Use the same version in the configurator.
- Get the settings
Choose your server: its settings are retrieved automatically. An existing draft is kept. You can also import files from this device or use the defaults.
- Edit and apply
Adjust settings, fix errors, then apply files to the selected server. A conflict blocks sending until you choose how to resolve it. You can still export only the files you need.
A configuration linked to the server has private backups when files are sent. Unsent edits remain in the editor. Keep your export too, to resume without connecting to the server.

Plugin instructions
TruePVE 2.4.6: configure PvE rules and loot protection
The configurator edits oxide/config/TruePVE.json. Its sections include Default RuleSet, RuleSets, Entity Groups, Mappings, Schedule and Configuration Options. The public overview covers a starter task; use this guide when changing mappings or checking loot protection.
Protect player loot from non-allies
In the TruePVE configurator, open Examples and choose Stop looting between strangers. It turns on Prevent non-ally from looting sleepers, Prevent non-ally from looting corpses and Prevent non-ally from looting backpacks under Configuration Options → Loot. Export and apply the config to a 2.4.6 test server. Reload the plugin and test with non-allied and allied players. The enabled Invis and vanish bypass loot protection (TruePVE only) option lets invisible or vanished players bypass these rules; check it for staff accounts.
Change a damage rule or mapping
Keep Default RuleSet pointing to a real name in RuleSets. A Mappings entry selects a rule set for a mapped context; it does not create a zone or install an integration. If you use zones, check the relevant zone plugin and test damage with the actual attacker, target and location. Schedule is a separate optional way to switch rules; do not assume a schedule entry is active until it has been tested.
The mapping command requires truepve.canmap, granted through server permissions rather than the JSON file. Exporting config does not grant it.
Source and scope
Checked on 2026-10-17 against TruePVE 2.4.6 source and the uMod listing. Test the intended damage and loot interactions in game with your installed integrations.
Install the files
With a connected server, click Apply in the configurator. The result shows whether the files were sent and the plugin reloaded. Without RCON, reload the plugin from your server panel after sending.
Without a connected server: Keep a copy of the current files. Place each export in the folder shown before export, or follow the paths in the ZIP. Do not put data or translation files in the config folder.
Follow the plugin instructions above for dependencies and reloading. Exporting does not connect the site to your server.
