ZLevels Remastered
Tune skill progression and the night bonus.
Free configuration without an account. Connect your server to install the plugin when a download is available.

What you can configure
Tune Rust gathering and crafting skill progression, death penalties and the built-in CUI display.
Edit ZLevelsRemastered.json, the administrator ZLevelsCraftDetails.json catalogue and the plugin's CUI display settings. Player progression saves are separate.
Keep XP after death
- Open Examples in the ZLevels configurator and choose Progression without death XP penalty. It sets Generic → Penalty On Death to false.
- Export ZLevelsRemastered.json, apply it to a 3.3.1 test server and reload the plugin.
- Compare skill points before and after a controlled death with an ordinary player; check suicide separately.
Enable the configured night bonus
- Open Examples and choose Night skill bonus; it enables Night Bonus → Enable Night Bonus and console logging.
- Review the night points and resource multipliers for the listed skills before exporting.
- Apply on a test server, wait for the game's night period and compare a supported action with its daytime result.
Common questions
Does editing this file reset player levels?
No. Export changes the selected config or administrator CraftDetails file, not player progression saves. The plugin also has a separate Wipe Data OnNewSave setting that needs deliberate review.
Is the CUI preview proof of the in-game result?
No. It helps set position, colors and text. Check the display in Rust after applying the exported config.
Before you export
- This configurator does not edit individual player levels.
- Check night effects and the CUI display in game on your server.
Server permissions
zlevelsremastered.use- Usage gate when Generic → Enable Permission is active.
