Quick Smelt
Free guide for configuring this third-party plugin in the Hub. Install the plugin separately from its official source.
Prepare your file
- Check the installed version
This guide describes Quick Smelt 5.1.5. Use the same version in the configurator.
- Import your configuration
Open the configurator and import your current JSON. For a new installation, you can start from the provided example.
- Edit and download
Adjust the settings, fix reported errors, and download the JSON. Keep a copy of your old file before replacing it.
Your configuration is not saved on the site. Keep the exported file; you can import it again later.

Plugin instructions
Quick Smelt 5.1.5
Quick Smelt changes furnace processing speed, fuel use, output, and accepted inputs. It has no required plugin dependency and runs on Oxide. When Use Permission is true, grant quicksmelt.use to the players whose furnaces should use these rules.
Configuration
Speed Multiplierschanges how frequently each oven processes items.Fuel Usage Speed Multiplierschanges how fast fuel burns, whileFuel Usage Multiplierschanges the amount consumed.Output Multipliersis a two-level dynamic map: oven shortname, then output item shortname.globalcan act as a fallback at either level.WhitelistandBlacklistare dynamic oven maps containing input item shortnames, not output items. Review overlaps deliberately.Smelting Frequencies (Smelt items every N smelting ticks)processes items every Nth smelting tick; larger values make processing slower and less frequent.Debugenables diagnostic logging and should normally remain false.
All maps are intentionally lossless JSON because server owners replace placeholder keys such as furnace.shortname and item.shortname with arbitrary Rust shortnames (furnace, furnace.large, campfire, and so on). The pinned source does not validate multiplier signs or frequency bounds. Zero, negative, or extreme multipliers/frequencies can cause broken balance, excessive production, unexpected fuel behavior, or runtime arithmetic problems; test a complete ruleset off production.
Target file: oxide/config/QuickSmelt.json.

After keeping a copy of the previous file, place the exported JSON at this location on your server:
oxide/config/QuickSmelt.jsonFollow the plugin instructions above for dependencies and reloading. Exporting does not connect the site to your server.
